Eric Diggins, P.Eng.

Director – Integrated Projects

Eric has a passion for and extensive knowledge in lifecycle development and execution of wells and field facilities. He has demonstrated success in leading dedicated teams and implementing Continuous Improvement principles to deliver projects with budgets in excess of $ 500 MM that achieve best in class safety, cost, and schedule which operate as designed.

Eric has held various operational, technical and management positions accountable for onshore and offshore projects in various basins throughout the world including Canada (east coast offshore and the western sedimentary basin), SE Asia, UK North Sea, West Africa, South America, and the Middle East.

Kent Devlin, P.Eng., MBA

Director – Asset Integrity

Kent has held senior management and executive positions with several O&G Service Providers where he has successfully helped build many businesses with an emphasis on superior customer and service delivery excellence. He has had direct P&L responsibility for businesses generating several hundred million in revenues and over 350 employees.

Kent has an in-depth knowledge of drilling & completions operations with direct downhole wireline, completion tool, and directional drilling well experience. In addition to his extensive experience in Canada, Kent has considerable experience throughout the US (Permian, Gulf Coast, Rockies, & Bakken) and around the world.

dave brown - Frontier Project Solutions

Dave Brown, P.Eng.

Director – Subsurface

Dave is a highly experienced Professional Engineer specializing in well construction (drilling, completions and stimulation/fracking). Dave has held senior management positions with E&P producer organizations where he managed capital budgets up to $500 million CDN and staff levels greater than 300. Dave has also held executive level positions with E&P service provider organizations where he led divisions and held P&L accountability.

Dave has demonstrated success throughout his career by directing teams towards the development of continuous improvement processes and activities using data analytics in the areas of safety, engineering/planning, technology and operations. In addition to his experience in Canada, Dave also has considerable international experience in a broad range of locations including SE Asia, Eastern Europe, Russia, US, Mexico and Latin/South America.

Mark Soper

Mark Soper, P.Tech.(Eng.)

Project Manager, Well Abandonments

Mark has over 40 years of experience in operations and oilfield engineering. His experience ranges from Western Canada to Ontario, and overseas in Indonesia. He has held various roles within E&P companies including abandonment coordinator, conventional asset optimization lead, operations engineer, drilling and completions technologist and area superintendent offshore.

His extensive experience with production optimization, workovers and abandonments has delivered outstanding results. Mark is a Professional Engineering Technologist registered with the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta.

Arugha Wilkie, P.Eng.

Project Manager, Well Abandonments

Arugha graduated from the University of Waterloo, Ontario with a BSC Eng. degree in Chemical Engineering. He is a professional engineer (P.Eng) with over ten years of well engineering experience. He started his Well Engineering career with Shell Canada in 2009 as a Completions and Well Interventions Engineer where he successfully led the completion and production optimization of 80+ wells in heavy oil (thermal and cold) and the abandonment or suspension of 40+ wells, primarily in deep sour gas plays. For these projects, he held a combination of office-based well planning, on-call operations engineering and wellsite supervisory roles.

After leaving Shell in 2016, he has provided consultancy services on well abandonment and suspension programs to various clients. Aside from the abandonment projects he currently manages at Frontier, Arugha is also a Senior Well Abandonment Engineering Consultant to the Government of the Northwest Territories Regulatory Body (OROGO) providing technical expertise and advice in various categories of oil & gas Regulatory Services.

Trevor MCLEOD, P.ENG

Senior Engineer, Completions and Well Abandonments

Trevor is a Professional Engineer registered with APEGA and has over 20 years of oil & gas project management and innovation delivery. Trevor began his field career with Dowell Schlumberger providing cement and fracturing services throughout Western Canada. As a completion engineer, he promoted advancement and field execution of innovative technologies for horizontal well development. While a Corporate Planning Engineer Trevor collaborated with North American management teams to distribute the $1.8 B capital budget and ensure operational plans aligned with corporate strategies. As a project engineer with Frontier, Trevor has programmed and managed well abandonments for a variety of well types and levels of complexity.

Hammad Zafar, P.Eng, MBA, MSc

Senior Engineer, Drilling

Hammad Zafar has over 27 years of experience in Drilling and Well Engineering in both the service and Operator sides of the industry. He has led teams of professional engineers and technologists in delivering multi-million dollar projects. Hammad is well versed in drilling with international experience both on land and offshore. He has also written several papers on successful implementation of new technologies and use of drilling data for value creation.

Curtis Heller, P.Eng

Project Manager,  Drilling and Completions

Curtis is a Professional Engineer with over 23 years of experience in Drilling & Completions.  His background includes positions in:  D&C engineering, operations, well integrity, abandonments, supply chain and regulatory.   He has a diverse experience set from working in the Middle East, North Sea, and Western Canada in deep shale, conventional and oilsand plays.  Curtis is passionate about safety and drives for excellence every day with a record of bringing project success.

Donna McLeod, P.Eng

Senior Engineer, Completions and Well Abandonments

Donna is a Professional Engineer registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and has over 20 years of experience in oil & gas. Donna began her career with Pan Canadian as a Field Production Engineer in Drumheller, AB and continued to work for Encana and then Cenovus until 2015 in various roles including Completions, Reservoir and Development Engineering. Donna began working with Frontier in 2021 and has since programmed hundreds of well abandonment programs for a variety of well types and levels of complexity. She has a wealth of experience in non-routine well abandonment applications to the AER and has been involved with well testing programs and cost estimates for other Frontier projects.

John Graham

Senior Engineer, Production and Completions

John brings 30+ years of experience in managing production operations including completion programs, artificial lift systems, drilling, workovers and oilfield operations. He has extensive experience in domestic and international project management and has demonstrated success throughout his career by directing teams towards the development of continuous improvement processes and activities using engineering/planning, technology and operations.

John’s exceptional leadership skills extends to mentoring young industry professionals. He continuously develops himself by attending courses and trainings at various organizations such as APEGA, CHOA and SPE, as well he has presented 20+ technical papers across the world.

Mike Tanton

Project Manager, Completions and Abandonments

Mike is a Professional Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in oil & gas operations and entrepreneurship. Mike began his career with Schlumberger as a wireline engineer and, as an Engineering Consultant has performed completions, workovers, abandonments and production operations in fields across Canada. He has worked in deep shale, offshore and SAGD completions and operations along with conventional and remote fields. As an entrepreneur he has created long term value for stakeholders, stable jobs for ambitious Canadians and offered mentorship to aspiring entrepreneurs. Mike has demonstrated leadership and passion for safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
